Our History
In 1992, Advanced Carbon Technologies started as a captive purification facility serving a local graphite machine shop. Word of ACT's quality and purifying capabilities soon spread. The company responded to the demand by expanding into the purification of non-graphite materials, and its capacity grew from one furnace to an eleven-unit operation. Our business that began helping local machine shops evolved into a leader in the purification field serving an extensive client list that includes multi-billion dollar, international corporations.

Today, ACT's purification facility – located in Topton, PA – is among the world's finest. We have more than 25,000 square feet of manufacturing space, designed for efficient handling of your order from receipt of material to final packaging and shipping.

With eleven furnaces ranging from 10" diameter x 20" depth to 51" diameter x 80" depth, ACT can handle high temperature materials and projects of all sizes. High temperature purification services are available for 3 to 5 day turnaround, with purity levels of less than 5 ppm total ash.

ACT, through its sister company, Graphite Machining, Inc., can also provide a wide range of machining and finishing operations for your purfied material.
